Mass spectrometry
Catalysis & thermal analysis
Hiden Analytical has been designing and developing the highest quality mass spectrometer-based gas analysis systems for over 35 years and Low2High Vacuum is proud to be the distributor for Hiden.
They have built a reputation for delivering instruments with superior sensitivity, accuracy and reproducibility along with a first-class global service and application support network.
From dedicated four-pole triple filters UHV TPD to solutions for fully integrated catalysis microreactor and mass spectromettry systems, Hiden has developed a range of analytical spectrometers that address the most advanced and demanding applications.
Residual gas analysis
Residual gas analysis (RGA) provides a unique window into the vacuum environment for monitoring contaminants, detecting leaks and analysing e.g. water vapour, hydrocarbons, etc.
Our gas analyzers are quadrupole mass spectrometers configured in a wide range of products for various applications in vacuum processing, science and technology. Gas analyzers come with software that is intuitive and offers easy and safe operation for beginners while incorporating a wide range of useful and advanced features for the vacuum expert.
So whether you are looking for leaks, the presence of hydrocarbons or want to analyze labile organic mixtures, we have the right product in our range.
Gas analysis

Leak detector (helium)
All vacuum systems leak, the question you have to ask yourself is ”how much leakage do we tolerate?”.
To find leaks, we generally use a mass spectrometer or leak detector. A leak detector is an instrument that is tuned to detect different types of mass (substances) in gaseous form.
According to standard practice, leak detection in the vacuum industry is done with tracer gas, mainly with helium.
Helium is light enough to find its way in the vacuum system in a fast and smooth way, it is also completely inert (forms chemical compounds unwillingly) and is thus not dangerous to work with. In addition, it is also very easy to identify, as the level of helium in the atmosphere is very low.
Leak detection often requires a lot of knowledge but also some patience, as it can take time to test your object properly.
Low2High Vacuum offers both leak detection services, but we also sell mass spectrometers for both helium and hydrogen.
